早上經文
使我認識基督、曉得他復活的大能、並且曉得和他一同受苦、效法他的死．
學生和先生一樣、僕人和主人一樣、也就罷了．人既罵家主是別西卜、何況他的家人呢。〔別西卜是鬼王的名〕
他被藐視、被人厭棄、多受痛苦、常經憂患。他被藐視、好像被人掩面不看的一樣．我們也不尊重他。 - 我將這些事告訴你們、是要叫你們在我裡面有平安。在世上你們有苦難．但你們可以放心、我已經勝了世界。 - 你們若屬世界、世界必愛屬自己的．只因你們不屬世界．乃是我從世界中揀選了你們、所以世界就恨你們。
辱罵傷破了我的心．我又滿了憂愁．我指望有人體恤、卻沒有一個．我指望有人安慰、卻找不著一個。 - 我初次申訴、沒有人前來幫助、竟都離棄我．但願這罪不歸與他們。
耶穌說、狐狸有洞、天空的飛鳥有窩、人子卻沒有枕頭的地方。 - 我們在這裡本沒有常存的城、乃是尋求那將來的城。
我們既有這許多的見證人、如同雲彩圍著我們、就當放下各樣的重擔、脫去容易纏累我們的罪、存心忍耐、奔那擺在我們前頭的路程、仰望為我們信心創始成終的耶穌．〔或作仰望那將真道創始成終的耶穌〕他因那擺在前面的喜樂、就輕看羞辱、忍受了十字架的苦難、便坐在神寶座的右邊。

Morning Scripture
I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,
It is enough for the student to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If the head of the house has been called Beelzebub, how much more the members of his household!
He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. - "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." - If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.
Scorn has broken my heart and has left me helpless; I looked for sympathy, but there was none, for comforters, but I found none. - At my first defense, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them.
Jesus replied, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head." - For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
